obychnyfy takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This page describes which data we process on obychnyfy.com, for which purposes and which rights the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 give you. It applies to everyone who visits the website and to people who contact us by email or through the contact form.
Who is responsible
obychnyfy, located at 14 Southernhay Lane, Exeter EX1 1QD, United Kingdom, is responsible for the processing of personal data described here, on every page of obychnyfy.com and in the correspondence that follows from it. Questions about this notice can be sent to hello@obychnyfy.com or put to us on 01392 574186.
How long we keep data
Information is kept no longer than its purpose calls for. Once that purpose has been met and no duty to keep it remains, we erase it or remove everything that would link it to you.
Server logs are removed by our hosting provider after a short period. Messages stay with us while the matter is open and for some time afterwards, in case you return to the same question.
Sharing of data
Personal data is never traded. Access is limited to the technical service providers that run our hosting and mail systems, who process data on our behalf under a written contract, and to public bodies where disclosure is required.
Some of the providers we work with may keep or process data in another country. When that happens, the transfer takes place only with the safeguards that the rules on data protection require for it.
Why we process data
We use data to keep this website online and safe, to reply to the messages we receive, to prepare and carry out agreements with clients and to keep the records our business requires.
Depending on the situation, we rely on your consent, on an agreement with you or the steps that come before it, on a duty imposed on us, or on our legitimate interest in a safe and working website. If you leave out the contact details we ask for, we may not be able to reply.
Cookies
Only what the pages need in order to work is stored. No advertising networks, no tracking across websites and no visitor profiles are involved, and nothing about your visit is passed on for marketing.
Your browser lets you review what is kept for this website, erase it and prevent it from being stored again. If you block entries that the site needs in order to function, some pages may not display correctly.
Data we collect
Each time a page is requested, the server notes the address of the requesting device, the date and time, the page and the browser that asked for it. These entries are needed to deliver the page, to keep the site stable and to trace faults, and they are removed after a short time.
If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we store your name, your email address, any telephone number you choose to give and the content of your message, in order to deal with your request.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to object to processing based on legitimate interests and to receive your data in a portable format. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, a message to hello@obychnyfy.com is enough. To be sure that we are dealing with the right person, we may ask you to confirm your identity; our answer follows within the statutory period and is free of charge.
Besides contacting us, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.
